🤔 Why Kryptex 5 doesn't run on Windows 7
We rebuilt the app from scratch: a new interface, instant mining startup, built-in GPU overclocking, accurate benchmarking, remote control, and support for the latest GPUs and CPUs.
To deliver that, Kryptex v5 relies on system APIs available only in Windows 10 Pro x64 and newer. Windows 7 and 8 are obsolete — Microsoft stopped supporting them long ago, and newer applications aren't built for them.

If your hardware allows it, upgrade. You'll get:
- Current security patches — Windows 7 and 8 no longer receive them, while new vulnerabilities surface every day.
- Up-to-date GPU drivers and a stable environment for everything else on the system.
- Every Kryptex v5 feature — one-click overclocking, instant startup, remote control via the mobile app.
- Higher profitability — thanks to built-in overclocking and accurate benchmarking with profit-switching.
Once upgraded, download Kryptex v5 and keep mining.
🛟 Can't upgrade your OS? Use Kryptex v4
When an upgrade isn't possible — older hardware, a locked-down work PC, specific driver requirements — the last Kryptex build compatible with Windows 7 / 8 is still available.

🛡 Pause your antivirus before installing. Kryptex is a miner, and antivirus software reacts to miners aggressively — it can block the installer or delete files. After installing, add the Kryptex folder to your antivirus exclusions.
Unpack the archive, run the installer, and sign in — the app will start mining.
⚠️ What to know about v4
This is the final v4 build — it's no longer in active development:
- v4 won't get updates.
- We won't add new coins to v4.
- Existing coins may stop being mineable — after forks, algorithm changes, and network releases.
- Profitability data lags behind — the numbers in the app can drift from reality.
- v4 has no overclocking, no remote control, and no new benchmark.
v4 is a working fallback, not the way forward. If there's any way to move to Windows 10 / 11, take it.
